Before self-testing

Snoring and sleep apnea are not the same thing.

Many people snore without having sleep apnea. But snoring with breathing pauses, gasping, choking, or persistent daytime sleepiness deserves a professional conversation rather than an app experiment.

Everyday snoring

A sound you would like to understand and quiet down.

Occasional or familiar snoring may be influenced by sleep position, nasal comfort, evening habits, mouth and tongue tone, or changes in routine. A wellness app can help structure observations and low-risk tests, but it cannot determine the medical cause of the sound.

Worth checking

Signs that should move the next step outside the app.

  • Someone notices you stop breathing, gasp, choke, or repeatedly snort awake.
  • You are unusually sleepy or foggy during the day despite enough time in bed.
  • You regularly wake unrefreshed, with morning headaches or a very dry mouth.
  • Your snoring is loud and frequent, especially alongside high blood pressure or heart concerns.

What a professional conversation can do

Rule out what a wellness app cannot.

A healthcare professional can assess symptoms, health history, and whether a sleep study or other evaluation is appropriate. If sleep apnea is diagnosed or treatment such as CPAP is prescribed, Night & Air is not a replacement and should not be used to change that treatment.

CPAP and other clinical treatments serve a different purpose from Night & Air. The product is for guided wellness experimentation around everyday snoring patterns—not diagnosis or treatment.

Where Night & Air fits

After the safety question is clear, everyday patterns can still be worth understanding.

For someone without concerning warning signs who wants a calmer way to work on snoring, Night & Air can help build a baseline, test one likely driver, and keep what appears to help.

For everyday snoring

Understand the pattern without pretending it is a diagnosis.

Night & Air is a general wellness and coaching app. If the warning signs above apply, speak with a healthcare professional first. Otherwise, explore how the Observe → Test → Keep method works.
